Finally went and updated my designs for Kikami and Koji
Kikami’s Part One kanji is yu (優), signifying excellence and superiority as well as kindness and tenderness; I felt that it would make a wonderful symbol for the duel between his ego and caring heart.
Koji’s up-done hair and high collars are meant to signify her reservation and self-control. After she wears the Papa mask (Prika’s fire-demon mask) to rescue Kika, in the process accepting and moving on from the trauma of starting the house fire that killed her family, her long hair is burnt short and her clothes are left tattered. Kika is in a similar state by that point (the end of Part One/start of Part Two), and Korin makes them their Part Two clothes.
After the garlic war and during their respective training arcs, they each learn opposing lessons: to let go of internal control (Koji with Korin; after the arc she no longer has her high collars) and to gain control over the self (Kikami with Kami; after the arc, Kikami wears the high collared cape). Kikami inherits his Part Three cape and gi from the previous Kami after expelling Piccolo.
I’ll probably be coming back and redoing Koji’s Part Three and Kika’s Part Two design when I have the free time
Bonus inner layered clothes and details on Koji’s comb
