I really really love your drawings!!! How you color is just jsksnshissnsjs💕💕 it's so soft and ugh! The contrast and stuf. any tips to share? It's okay if you can't tho!
I don't think I'm good enough to give tips since I don't really take my arts seriously so I'll just list what I did that helped me find my own artstyle
I edited my brushes many times for me to be comfortable with linearts.
Confident lines. Not bold–clean–precise confident lines. I meant dont–care–what–others–think confident lines.
I'm bad at color theory and lighting. I just pick whatever is closer to that color and the only thing that sticks to mind is don't get colors shift towards black and grays.
Play with opacity! That's it.
Look for artists that inspires you (this helped me a lot). Use their work as inspirations, but of course don't try to replicate and copy. Not only will it not feel natural, you're proving to yourself and to everyone that you can't.
Reference reference reference. Don't act like you're good enough to not use references.
Don't be afraid of imperfections... i think. Well, for my artstyle I don't care if there is one. Don't be afraid for your art to look goofy because it adds to your building artstyle. One day you'll look at an imperfection and then thought "Oh wow! This looks cool." And before you know it, that imperfection became part of your artstyle.
