Ok I love pickles…Wendy’s is the closest fast food to my work but they’re notoriously not vegan friendly. But I heard about the pickle fries, investigated, saw the seasoning was vegan and wanted them! So I don’t bring a lunch, head over there to order a large pickle fry. They only come in small. $4.29 for a small fry with some artificial seasoning. I got them because I didn’t bring lunch and this was my plan. I’m disappointed though, like $4.29????? They were weirdly sticky but they were yummy. Would not recommend.

Pickle Fries will no longer be on the menu (I am rejoicing)

The Quarter Pound Double Cheeseburger will no longer be on the menu. It will be replaced with the Junior Double Cheeseburger, which is quite literally the same thing except it has mustard.

We serve Bottled Water now???

You can’t get Queso on the side anymore (literally nobody ever does this)

We’re switching from Minute Maid Orange Juice to some other brand of Orange Juice (Simply, maybe?). Why did they tell me this? I don’t know. I’m just a carhop.

THE BIG THING: MOZZARELLA STICKS DO NOT COME WITH MARINARA BY DEFAULT ANYMORE. When you order Mozzarella sticks you need to specify that you want Marinara or Ranch or whatever other sauce. If you don’t we don’t give it to you. And please don’t be mad at the crew or carhops for this. I gave someone Marinara the other day even though they didn’t specify it and then suddenly I was in a bunch of trouble with my manager. So don’t take your anger out on the carhops please.

There's pickle-flavored potato chips and pickle-flavored popcorn but are there pickle-flavored fries? If not, there should be.

Pickle fries

Pickles (from jar) 1 cup plain flour 1 tsp smoked paprika 1 tbsp hot sauce 1 tsp salt 1 tsp pepper ½ tsp onion powder 160ml unsweetened plant milk Panko breadcrumbs

1.       Preheat the oven to 180oC.

2.       Remove your pickles from the jar and slice them in half. Lay them on a sheet of kitchen roll. Take another sheet and dab the excess liquid off the pickles.

3.       In a large mixing bowl, add the flour, paprika, hot sauce, salt, pepper, onion powder, and plant based milk. Mix to form a batter consistency.

4.       Put panko breadcrumbs in a separate bowl.

5.       Take your pickle slices and did them in the batter followed by the breadcrumbs, making sure there is an even layer.

6.       Place the pickle fries on a baking tray and pop in the oven for 20-30 minutes until the breadcrumbs are golden brown.

7.       Serve immediately with a side of mayo and sriracha.
