Whats a warm memory you have about Pokemon?
there's a lot of stuff i could answer here after playing the pokemon games since early childhood but i think i'm gonna go with something relatively recent.
back in early 2021, ayano was getting into gen 2 for the first time, and shiny hunting as well. we were on a small vacation to the beach (our family likes off-season trips, cooler air and less expensive even if we aren't swimming) and she woke up fronting way too early in the morning before anyone else was awake. she couldn't get back to bed, and the condo we were at overlooked the coast, so she dragged herself out of bed and made some hot chocolate and turned on pokemon crystal to continue her shiny hunt for bill's eevee, which was her first true full odds hunt and what got her hooked on the hobby. she didn't get the shiny that morning or else i'd consider this a more exciting memory than warm, but she still remembers watching the sun rise over the water while being totally relaxed and listening to her gameboy at like 5 in the morning. we were going through a lot at the time and it was an odd moment of peace between all the chaos
