Picnic Provisions and Whiskey: Campfire Cookie Dough S’mores ok so here’s the deal folks - I had the great fortune to visit @nolapicnic their first week open. The fried chicken was good, but this dessert is THE reason to eat there. (Also, the fried chicken wasn’t on the bone, which somehow seems less like the casual-fun-picnic theme, and there was no whiskey list so I’m not sure why that’s in the title). But back to the most important part. There’s only one dessert, and it’s like a muffie (cookie/muffin hybrid) served in an adorable square skillet with whiskey caramel sauce and a toasted marshmallow and graham crackers. The cookie was freakin amazing - seemed to be still baking at the table, but so soft and delicious and perfect. The combination of textures - it’s like everything you want a s’mores to be, but with the best chocolate chip cookie you ever had. Seriously get the dessert ok? Overall Grade A+
