Top five ideal picnic locations
1. London Fields after acquiring our picnic goods from Broadway Market and perhaps some beers from London Fields Brewery. We can sit by the wildflower meadow and then perhaps go to the lido for a dip and then pub on the park for the evening.
2. Battersea Park, maybe along by the river near the peace pagoda, or the Russel Page garden, we can spread out our blankets and lay with our books and our grapes, and then after perhaps we can rent sail boats or those sitting down cycle thingies or just go walking round the different themed gardens, Battersea Park is a massive wonderland of horticulture.
3. The top of Arthur's Seat in Edinburgh. Sure you have to climb quite a ways with your picnic paraphernalia but the view is wonderful and there may be people up there singing folk songs or rehearsing plays.
4. On the bank of a smallish river that is fast-flowing and clean. I don't know its name or where it is but the grass is mossy-soft and the water is clear and cool on our feet while we dangle our legs in and eat our peaches with sloppy abandon.
5. On a sandy beach on a day that is sunny but not too hot, with a gentle breeze and not too many other people around. Yes we will get sand in our sandwiches, it is to be expected, but each gritty bite will taste like sunshine and sea air and heaven.
Bonus - 6. Anywhere with you, precious Leah 💗 Thank you for asking, pick a spot and we'll go!
