really hate to admit this but luke danes is in fact butch lesbian coded to me. sorry. i can’t help it that amy sherman-palladino loves to create lesbian-coded characters, including a solid chunk of the women on that show, but doesn’t ever actually commit to depicting them as actual lesbians so i’m forced to improvise and envision a better world where gilmore girls involved buckets more dykery than it ever did in this reality. look at luke and lorelai’s storyline and tell me it wouldn’t be more poignant if they were both women
