I don’t regret for a single moment having lived for pleasure.

Basil stared at his one-time friend… possibly for a moment too long.  A small part of him was undeniably jealous that Dorian was capable of speaking so freely about such things.  But the rest of him was saddened, remembering all too well the person he’d befriended… and the role that the artist himself had played in what had become of the young man since then.  “I suppose… if you’re happy… then there’s no need for regrets, is there?”  He hesitated, watching the other carefully.  “Are you happy, Dorian?”
