i've gotten over the stage of feeling like i have to choose who i am in terms of...well...everything.
when it comes to my sexuality, YES i have chosen to call myself bisexual, but when i'm dating a male i feel more attracted to men. when i'm dating a female i feel more attracted to women.
i don't know if this helps anyone but i think allowing yourself to fluxuate is very healthy. it doesn't make you invalid.
think of it like pie vs cake. you might like pie or cake...but maybe you like both. that doesn't mean you always want pie or always want cake. maybe you have pie consecutively for 3 months and then you choose to have cake for 2 weeks...just because you switched it up doesn't mean you automatically don't like pie anymore OR, conversely, that you never liked cake in the first place!!!

Pie is better than cake.
It always has been and it always will be.

As citizens of the beautiful nation, the United States, we can agree that there have been many debates and conflicts for the sake of her culture. The culture of the country itself? No! The American culture of loving food, of course, the greatest of these debates being the argument between cake and pie—which is better? Now, there's plenty to be said about both sweets, but there are several reasons why pie is the superior dessert.
When it comes to flavors and textures, pies will always be more dynamic than cakes. The crust can be slightly salty; the filling can be sweet or savory, and the soft inner layer contrasted with the crisp outer shell is a lot more interesting than the dynamics that cake has to offer. Cake is sweet bread and sweeter frosting. That's all it will ever be.
Pie is also more versatile than cake. A pie can be pizza, chicken pot pie, quiche, and fruit pie. If you wanted to survive off of only pies, it would be possible. Cake is cake. If you tried to only eat cake for more than a week, you'd die.
Unlike cake, pie is rarely deceptive about how delicious it'll be. Cakes could be decorated up with loads of frosting and fondant to look appetizing, but when you take your first bite, all you taste is icky disappointment. Pie doesn't do that. Its looks are unassuming, but its flavor is unmatched.
Pie is more rewarding to eat. You can go out and buy a mix to eat some mediocre cake, but you can't do that with a pie. You have to assemble that pie yourself, but when you put the work in, the payoff tastes that much sweeter.
Lastly, it's more patriotic to eat a pie than it is to eat a cake. The American symbolism of apple pie is so "baked" into our culture, that trying to give any other dessert the same amount of influence would practically be blasphemy. The structural integrity of pies could also be compared to America. As Seji Gaerlan, author from The Telescope, beautifully put it, “Making pie should be one of the most American things that we do, the diversity, the sweet taste, and the stable foundation created solely by hard work that makes up a pie is so comparable to what makes our nation great.”
For these reasons, pies should be considered by Americans to be objectively better than cake.
Today I went to Boston Market and as soon as I saw the pies I immediately thought of Dean and honestly I get Sam those chocolate and carrot cakes looks delicious, but I felt bad bc I mean Sammy always forgets Deans pie
