She feels so lost. It feels as if she has lived so many lives in such a short amount of time and another one has just ended. The angry, bitter, homicidal woman, bent on the destruction of man. Her army is scattered and gone, she has left her partner, and she has no one... Except one. Perhaps.
If she had a home to go to, she might leave him be, but she is utterly alone now. Making her way up the stairs of that tenement is strange- it seems so long since she left this life, but it couldn’t have been more than a month. A month of luxury. Of full meals and wine and elegant dresses. Of being someone that people respected. Of revolution. But that life is over now.
Upon reaching the top, Lily stops in front of the door to the loft, her hair down as she used to wear it when she was with him. A deep breath is inhaled, exhaled before she knocks. And when he answers it, “Victor... I have no where else to go.”
