Pierre Bensusan, "One Morning in May" (1975) That beautiful Renbourn piece got me thinking about another master of the pull-off, Pierre Bensusan and his debut album Près de Paris, recorded when he was 19. A lot of his inspiration came from Celtic fiddle tunes, but he must have come across Renbourn to create this jaw-dropping version of a traditional folk song, which he apparently learned from Bill Keith and Jim Rooney.
