So you wanted the songs I think would be my characters top song on Spotify? No? Well too bad I guess

All below the cut: characters included are the current main (Flora, Winifred, Lavinia, Phoebe, Pierre, Eugene, Jane, Lisbeth)

Flora Hayward: Hayloft by Mother Mother; Once it started getting around on tiktok, they got obsessed however their second top song is Class Of 2013 by Mitski which says a lot.

Winifred Hayward: Good News by Julien Baker; Has made zero attempts to hide the fact she is indeed gay and sad at all hours of the day. This fact is only made clearer by the fact her other top songs are by Phoebe Bridgers, Lucy Dacus, and Boygenius

Lavinia Hayward: Hey Lover by The Daughters Of Eve; Perfectly crafted her Spotify so this would be her top song because she knew if she didn’t do this, it’d be that one song from Dear Evan Hansen she listened to for all of Quarantine on repeat.

Phoebe Hayward: Pretty Girl by Clairo; Does not give a single care that Clairo is an industry plant because her songs still slap.

Pierre Herrmann: The Calliou Theme Song; He played it for a week straight to annoy Flora and because of that one week it became his top song.

Jane Brandt: I Did Something Bad by Taylor Swift; Jane spent all her money to see the Reputation tour and will die on the hill that it was robbed of awards. A close second to her top song is Getaway Car.

Eugene Schafer: Mr.Loverman by Ricky Montgomery; Every single one of his top songs are by Ricky Montgomery. Every single one of them. In fact, it’d be more surprising if literally any other song was his top one.

Lisbeth Lang: Picture To Burn by Taylor Swift; Lizzie still yells out “and I’ll tell mine your gay”. She is essentially the country/Red era Taylor Stan to Janes Reputation/Lover era Stan.

Modern Hayward Kids + Some Extras

So I developed a love of my modern Hayward kiddos yes I used the word kiddos I swear I’m not 50 which means I’m required to toss in some of my favourite extra kids into the mix

As a complete run down of the modernized kids we have

All the Hayward kids (who lived past infancy)

Jane Brandt, the Hayward kids cousin

Pierre Herrmann, Floras former best friend

Eugene Schafer, a kid we will be meeting soon!!

And of course there’s other extras who I love, but I sadly can’t include them all in a post about my modernized ones because a) some would be more spoilers than anything else and b) I can only have 8 sims in one household

“Answer the question- do you like Jane more than me?” Flora said trying to sound more annoyed. She was annoyed at Pierre after all, as well as Jane. But her voice cracked, eliminating the sound of any annoyance she felt.

“You’re both my friends-“ Pierre said, almost continuing on before Flora interrupted.

Flora glared up at Pierre, “I don’t believe you kiss your friends. Not like that,”

Pierre nearly spoke yet again, but Flora hadn’t wanted to hear more. This was her birthday celebration- she could allow herself to be sassy. Besides, if Pierre and Jane simply hadn’t kissed this could’ve been avoided. It wasn’t Floras fault she acted as she was going to. It couldn’t possibly be her fault.

“I’m going to get Lou and we will be heading to my house. You can stay here with Jane and I won’t be seeing either of you until school. Understood?”

“My dad needs my help at the farm, I won’t be back in school until September,”

Flora bite down on her lip before responding. She knew a part of her wanted to see Pierre again before the following school year, but she didn’t want to seem like she’d bend her rules to fit him. So, she kept what she said. “I’ll see you next autumn then,”

Flora: Louisa? Pierre? Jane?

Pierre: Over here!

Louisa: We’re right here Flora!

Jane: This way!

Louisa and Jane: Happy birthday!

Flora: Oh goodness! Thank you!

Pierre: Happy birthday Flor.

Flora: Thank you.

- some time passes, all the teens now lay in the field -

Jane: I heard Mary-Jane and James had sex.

Flora: Shut up Jane! They aren’t even married yet!

Pierre: Well clearly they don’t care about that.

Louisa: Pierre!

Pierre: What? It makes sense.

Louisa: Jane what have you done with our friend Pierre and which gossiping lady did you replace him with?

Jane: Darling I’m just that good of an influence. I think I should actually go spread some more gossip with Pierre. Will you excuse us?

- Jane and Pierre go off together -

Flora: Why do you think Jane wants to tell her gossip to just Pierre? It is my birthday after all so if she is to share gossip with just one of us, shouldn’t it be me?

Louisa: She’s probably just swapping spit with him. Don’t overthink it.

Flora: They couldn’t be doing that. No...no, Jane is set to marry Eric once they’re older.

Louisa: Oh please like Jane is one to follow the rules.

- Flora catches Jane and Pierre making out, as you do -

Flora: Pierre! Can I talk to you?

- Flora and Pierre go sit elsewhere -

Pierre: Sorry you had to see that...

Flora: It’s okay-

Pierre: I was going to tell you soon.

Flora: Do you like her more than you like me? Jane- do you like Jane more than you like me?

Pierre: Pardon?
