Here's my pictures I took of the dissection lab from the other day. The organ I am holding is the frog's liver and if you zoom in, that little gray dot is the frog's gallbladder. As for the pig, I didn't get to dissect it. Funny thing is I was the only who knew all the organs that my teacher asked us to name lol EDIT: I don't want to see comments saying that this is gross or whatever. If you don't want to see it, then ignore it. I certainly don't want to see it because I have had an awful day, so I don't want to read it.

For the first day of my Anatomy and Physiology lab we dissected two 150 lb pigs. I’ll admit I was at first a little sad about them having to be killed, but that’s a consequence of research and the field I chose. With my own two hands I removed and held the heart, a heart that was beating only minutes earlier, and it was one of the most surreal feelings I’ve ever experienced. Still warm, very bloody and at about the same size as a human heart, a life-giving organ just there in my hands. This image sums up a defining thought I had that day; that this is where I not only want to be, but where I feel I should be. Whether I end up in an operating room, a research lab or somewhere in between, I know I’ve found something worth doing for the rest of my life.

I took my science final in my old bio room and it still smells like chemicals and now I can't stop thinking about the pig dissection and I kind of feel lightheaded from the way I was breathing because the scent made me really freaked out and now I can’t stop thinking about the dissection
