Pig Lib, Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks
"(Do Not Feed The) Oyster" by Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks https://ift.tt/2pWt3am
Building off my thing earlier this weekend on listening to Stephen Malkmus, I realized I’d never written about his Pig Lib album with any kind of depth before. So I did that now.
And in filing this away, I realized it’s the 400th thing I’ve written for my site (that I’ve actually left up on the site to be read, anyway), so that’s something of a milestone I guess. Here’s to continuing to write for an audience of up to 11 people at a time for almost 15 years.
Stephen Malkmus & the Jicks - “Ramp of Death”
I’m enjoying my reacquaintance with Malkmus this morning. This brings back memories of heading down to the now-deceased Words & Music record store in Fairhaven, Mass., to track down an in-stock copy of the Pig Lib CD. If I remember correctly, it was a sunny day in the summer and I took an elongated route home to listen to it all the way through in the car.
