Exactly one year ago I was anxiously staring at a hospital screen. I waited and watched as the highlight over my mother's name change from yellow, to green, to purple, and finally, to blue. Heart surgery was over! She was so strong through it! And continued to be strong through her recovery, rehab and the rest of the shit 2015 had to throw at us. I am so beyond proud of her!
