A weekend of everything that flies. ✨

Finally, after three years nakapunta din ako sa Hot Air Balloon Festival. Mainit. Ma-alikabok. Crowded. Pero para sa akin worth it pa rin. Just seeing the balloons soaring makes me happy.

But, it could’ve been happier if you’re there.

Pero walang ikaw na dumating. I understand. Kahit na naiiyak na ako at naiinis at kahit gusto ko nang magalit sayo, hindi ko ginawa. Bakit? Kasi non-sense naman kung magagalit ako sayo. Magkaka-ayos din naman tayo plus the fact na wala din namang magbabago kung magagalit ako. Hindi ka din naman makakarating. So iintindihin ko nalang.

PA ASCOD Light Tank at the Hot Air Balloon Festival in Tarlac

It looks like the new ASCOD Light Tank of the Philippine Army (PA) will be among those on Public Display at the Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Festival (PIHABF) at the New Clark City in Capas, Tarlac from February 16 to 18, 2024.

So if you are in the Area or is willing to go and visit there, then this is your Opportunity to see the Vehicles in Person and up close. I don’t think I will be going in this Edition of the Event. The Event is open to the Public but it is a Paid Event by the Way, so just search around the Internet if you want to learn more about it

My biggest heartbreak

In the past few years, this point in February would be the week after the Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta. We'd be back home and still recovering from the fatigue, and I'd be trying to get my voice back. Not this year, though.

I've been quiet about it, but y'all have no idea how heartbroken I was when I first found out that we couldn't pull off the Fiesta for 2019. I grew up around the Fiesta and I may have only witnessed a small portion of the process leading up to the event, but I can recognize how much of their hearts and souls the organizing team puts into it.

It's more than just 4 whole days of sun exposure, heat, coordination, troubleshooting, etc. We prepped for it months in advance.

Every year, we joke that we would never do it again, but that's a lie. I know I'm not the only one who would do it all again in a heartbeat.
