New Art Related to Digimon Lost Concepts!

Chapter 10 is online (the link tool isn't working so you can read from the beginning here) and I added a ton of new guys. Here are their arts so I can link them to the artbook!

Chapter 10 spoilers below!

First, we have Yosuke- a new character and Colt's second-in-command. He has a good eye for combat, but no tolerance for weakness.

These two, you probably saw before. But Aki and Oliver are back! Albeit in new contexts. I redrew them both, with Oliver receiving the biggest revamp.

Below are their partners- Ottermon for Yosuke, Pikamon for Aki, and Ukimon (newly hatched baby) for Oliver. Their evolutions haven't been revealed yet, and I want to keep the lid on a lot of things. But Pikamon's line is the same as what was seen in the swap AU (with some adjustments for stages that weren't shown there), Ukimon is Vorvomon reborn after an AU bad end to my 2021 fic Digimon: Fragments (with a new line), and Ottermon is wholly new.

So somebody posted a genderswapped Ash as a DigiDestined and my shonen protag loving brain only saw "Ash as a DigiDestined". So I decided to draw my own.

This is "Aki and Pikamon". Aki is not named Ash because I started making Lore for this swap AU. Basically Pokemon is Digimon and vise versa, and since Satoshi Tajiri is basically required to make Pokemon's unique atmosphere, "Ash" can't be named after him (he is instead named after Tamagotchi creator Akihiro Yokoi).

It's hard to see, but Pikamon has a Holy Ring. Not sure if I'm going to do a full line or just spit concepts based on that.

The background is a quick and dirty gradient because this is still a WIP. I'll post clear PNGs of these guys and the logo when I post the final art.

Digimon/Pokemon Swap AU Drabbles

The sickness continues! :3

I decided to plop some drabbles from Ao3 over here. As I wrote over there- these aren't final. But if I do make a fic of this, this is the general direction I want to go with it.

TW for Digimon-typical trauma.

I’m Sammy. But I remember another life. Another self. Another me.

His name is not my name.

The creature at his side has a name like mine. In color and power, they are nearly identical. But they are not the same.

He wanders another world. The creatures there are Digimon, too. But they are not like the Digimon I know. They live in a virtual world, and they need help.

So he’s helped, and helped, and helped until he’s tired.

He’s a grown man now. I’m still ten. I continue my journey in the morning. Agufry is still sleeping. He snores occasionally. I wonder if he dreams of that other creature…Agumon.

I wish I had the chance to meet that man…to tell him…I don’t know.

Is he even real?

My name is Aki. But I sometimes remember being another person.

He has a Pokemon, like I do. He’s smaller than mine, but has the same yellow fur and red cheeks. His name is Pikachu, and he’s special.

In his world, humans and Pokemon live side by side. It’s normal there. There’s no need for a Pocket World. Everyone works together, and so they’re happy.

Co-existence. It sounds nice.

I want to experience that world. But I’m not lucky. Every time I sleep, it could be the last. There are dangerous Pokemon in my world. Evil ones.

I was told this would all be over if I defeat them. So I’m helping! But I’m tired.

I wouldn’t mind lying on the grass and watching the clouds for a bit. For a day. Forever.

…All this thinking is making me hungry.

My body does not have time to chew food.
