(Askunseeliecourt) ??? @ Pikkan: The odd Mimikyu shuffles into the brightly lit storefront. She stares at the confectioneries behind the glass counters, particularly mesmerized by the extensive menu of warm drinks. "Very nice... Very nice indeed... It seems you've worked very hard to accomplish your goals here... What inspires you to make such curious concoctions?"

“Aw, It’s nice of you to say thaaaaaaaa--”

“--aaaaaaaaaait’s you!!! the MUFFIN ‘MON!! You’re here in my shop now, that’s... Good!”

“You gave me quite a shock, that’s for sure... But Basically--”

“Basically, My life inspires what I make-- the amazing beings I meet and all that along the way! In fact-- I have a pumpkin cookie inspired by our meeting here for you!”

The Pikachu would hand the Mimikyu a pumpkin-flavored cookie, decorated with frosting to mimic the Disguise, down to the scribble eyes.

Honey: You mentioned "figments", what exactly are they? The way you mentioned them almost sounds like they're alive.

“Well-- In a sense, they are.”

He hummed, trying to think of a good way to explain what they were.

“Well, There’s two basic types: Spirits and Nightmares.

“Spirits are embodiments of positive feelings and emotions-- The Stronger the memory or feeling, the stronger the resulting spirit. Spirits actually help us on our missions here in the World of Dreams.

“Nightmares, on the other hand, are embodiments of negative emotions and memories-- Some of these, which result from Strong fears and even Phobias, are considered a different type of Nightmare.”

“These types of nightmares are almost as much of a threat to the people they’re spawned in as much as they are to us: If left unchecked, they can cause serious problems.”

“That’s not to say that defeating these is a one-way ticket to better mental health-- it’s a stop-gap measure at best, an unhealthy coping mechanism at worst. The only way to fully deal with these is with help.”

He smiled, offering an ice cream to the Flareon.

“Though, I’ll be ever happy to help if you ever think I’ll help you out with something like that!”

In some small cafe, waiting by the sea...

In the quiet morning air, a small piano song would be playing, echoing softly through the street, coming from a small cafe-- one that hadn’t quite opened yet. Looking in the window, you can see a Pikachu, in full cooking gear, moving to the words.

“One, two, three, up! One, two, three, up!” The Pikachu would continue moving to the beat, finishing up with the song-- at which time, he’d notice you peeking in.

 “Ah! Sorry, Sorry, I’ll open up, just one moment--”

He’d then move to the window, turning the closed sign to “open,” and unlocking the door.

“Welcome to the Starry Night Cafe! Make yourself at home, and may I take your order?”

(Asks are open! This is gonna be a fairly lighthearted blog centered around this Cafe!)

(Asksylveon) The Sylveon observes the sweet treats on display behind the glass and wrinkles his nose at them, "These look dry, are they display only? How long do you let these sit there anyways?"

The Pikachu looks over to the case, looking over the sweets

(Are they looking so stale already? They were fresh made earlier...)

The Pikachu then cleared his throat to look toward the Sylveon.

“Nope! These are just a few of our ready-made sweets, though we always offer personalized fresh-made sweets-- To any flavor you wish. any.”

The Pikachu grinned-- a little too wide.

“We do have a ‘Dragon’s Breath’ Curry challenge if sweet’s aren’t your style...”

Jared: "...Connor, it was nice knowing you" Connor: "Jared no-" Jared: "Its for science" Connor: "Jared, NO!" Jared@Pikkan: "I would like to try this challenge!"

“The Dragon’s breath Curry challenge, then? Let me get you the waivers first...”

The Pikachu would slap down a bunch of waivers, stating that the cafe is not responsible for any spice-related injuries resulting from eating this curry made from pure, tamato berry concentrate. essentially essence of spice

“This stuff will make your eyes water from even just close proximity. last chance to back down!”

It was as promised. Even the steam rising from the curry was tinted red from pure heat. biting into it would get you a nice acidic tomato taste, before it felt like your brain would melt through your sinuses with the heat. There is no god in this curry, only the heat.

(omnipokemonproducts)Pras approached the counter carrying a handful of fliers. "Hey uh, can you make any frozen coffee drinks to go?" Looking at the fliers in his hand the gallade figured it would be a good way to get some pamphlets out. "But um, can I leave these here for people to take? It's for an open house the company I work for is doing."

The Pikachu nodded, getting to work on some blenders, pouring ice, coffee, and some binding agents.

“Of course! Frozen coffee’s all the rage in these hot days, after all.”

While blending, he’d listen to the Gallade’s other request. nodding, he’d motion to a pinboard with a table below it.

“Just put them over there! Pin one on the board if you’d like, by the way!”

“Just be sure to take one of those take-out menus back to your company, ye?”

What do you do when you go into a dream? Not trying to brainwash anyone, are you?

“Nope! We just harvest things called ‘Dream Drops.’ Same thing pokemon tap into when they perform Dream eater. Just enough so it doesn’t become a beacon for Nightmare figments.”

“There’s a counterpart called ‘Nightmare drops,’ Which spawns nightmares. Those, we gather to try and keep Nightmares from overrunning them.”

Hey now, I don't know anything about your dreams and such. I was only asking. I thought it was a soul thing, but I guess not. Surely, you don't do all that work on your own. Can't go Thunderbolting everything you see alone. Or do you not Thunderbolt them? Better yet, use your Pika-psychic powers if you got 'em.

“Nope! I don’t do it on my own, But I should probably explain what I do, huh?”

“Okay, so. I’m one of many, /many/ Pokemon who go out and gather Dream Drops. Basically, we choose from a bunch that are still out and open, and we go to set out on that.”

We go to the Dream, and try our best to just make it to the Core, though if we see a Boss Nightmare, we are asked to try and stop them from causing too much trouble.”

Once we do that, and Secure the Dream or Nightmare drop, we go back to the Dream park, where the Dreams and nightmares are mixed to create Astral Essence.”

To help us with that, we use tools that we call Keyblades, which are effective against figments, though pokemon moves are still useful. In addition, Spirits do help us out, whether native to the Dream we visit, or made from our own Dreams and experiences and can be summoned to help. And, ultimately, a few of us Drop gatherers can go together to help with these.”

“Well, Aren’t you popular? I hope you didn’t forget your friends with your new fame.”

“Oh, Hush, Lunoctin. You’re just jealous he got to answer those questions instead of you.” 

The Quilava and Absol walk up the way to the Clocktower, Teasing Pikkan and The Quilava respectively.

“Poppy! Lunoctin! I was afraid I’d have to give you melted Ice cream, come, sit!”
