「♪」“D-Do you think I still have enough time to make my own chocolate for all my f-friends? Or should I give in and just buy s-some...” She was of course talking about making chocolates for Valentine's day, which was a day and a few hours away. She wasn’t quite sure she could hustle enough to make everything she needed on her own.
{♮} Insomnia Train Ride {♮}
Somber gray clouds plagued the clear blue sky, as stated by the morning forecast that it’s been the third time this week of yet another dull day.
The quiet blond cast in shadows clutches his clear umbrella in both hands in front of a train station. Behind the yellow line a train stops by. Teenagers and business people aboard the vehicle. The android kicks at dirt, questioning where his ride will arrive.
More citizens arrive in splayed-out mass and the android holds his umbrella tighter in sweaty palms. He turns his head away and his left heel taps against cement.
He soon yawns, his body and light head reminding him of the fourth time this week of his lack of sleep. Once the next train arrives, he can head up to the city and buy snacks and an energy drink to fix his problem. Len’s system loses control and he sways to the side, bumping into the person at his right. He mutters an apology.
A small nap in the train will have to do, once it comes by. Though, his system can enter deep sleep and the blond will miss his stop.

Dangerously exposed to the cold of the falling snow, a young man with eyes of ice sat against the frame of his small home’s door, left open and allowing the wintry winds to pass. An occasional passerby would remind him to be more careful about his health, and he would nod meekly, but remain in place. What was the point of keeping the snow outside, if the inside had always lacked warmth to begin with? It was, perhaps, only a melodramatic thought crossing the mind of someone who had yet to mature, but he believed himself to be all alone in the world. Working all day long to make a living in the small etamura where he had grown up, losing parents to illness, sister marrying into another family, and him being too withdrawn to form bonds with the ones in his surroundings. The monotony of coming back every night to the same emptiness, the same meal, the same lack of anything to give meaning to his scarce free time. Len glanced up at the icicles hanging from the roof and smiled faintly to himself. At the very least, he could draw some enjoyment from watching the colors and lights beautifully reflected in those frozen daggers. Joy that did not last long, as the snowfall soon became heavier, and the wind picked up enough strength to toss items around as it entered the building.
“Time to sleep, it seems...” He sighed, standing up and closing the door behind himself as he went back inside. Perhaps he’d make some tea first... That was what he thought, however his plans were interrupted by a knock on the door he’d just closed.
