SO I have been following your tutorial in YouTube about defaulting clothing, but I' m lost ':D. It was around 8:54 when you moved into changing the property settings. I understood the shoe sound part, but the rest I didn't understand/see what you where doing ;__; help please ;__;. Handy tutorial tho :D Also do you know any tutorials on making the outfit available for young adults? (I feel like I have too many questions, sorry) It's ok to dm the answer. I'm just so lost on how to ask this ':D

Hi! I assume you're watching my third video, on clothing basics? The property set is basically telling the game how to put everything together, and how to present the outfit in game. The override#... lines in the property set are what makes the mesh work with the 3D ID referencing file. What I'm doing in the tutorial is checking what groups are in the mesh, body and noblend, and then adding override1... lines for noblend (by cloning the override0... lines) since the original outfit only has a body group. I don't really know how to explain it better, but you can check out step 8 of this tutorial since it's the same thing.

I know you already figured it out, but in order to enable something for young adults you only need to add 0x00000040 to the age line. If it is already enabled for adults, the value will be 0x00000008, so if you make it 0x00000048 it will be for young adults and adults. It works the other way around, too, to enable YA only stuff for adults.

Some of these (esp. the baby) are nightmare inducing. It's really interesting to see what you dug up in game files. Anyway, looking forward to your food defaults. I use some veggie replacements I found here and there but not everything has been made.

Glad I’m not the only one who found the baby texture terrifying ahah! It’s really fun to go through the game files, there’s so much unused stuff in there. Also, I’m happy you look forward to my veggie DRs! I'm excited about sharing them :-D

I grew up in the 90s. I am very aware what convertible pants are.

The point was, EAxis made the pants then chopped them to shorts, but used different textures for the shorts than the pants and slightly different mapping.

I will probably share the lotless decorated terrain once I have the terrain-sculpting done enough that I’m happy enough with it to sic it on other people. :) I’ll probably make a few different versions to share. (Main hood, generic subhood, and mountain vacation hood?) But I will probably not share the lots. It’s not that I don’t want to. It’s just that the packaging process when you use lots of repositoried stuff and Maxis recolors -- as I do -- is a time-consuming pain in the ass and, to be frank, I’d rather use my Simming time for other things. 

I’m happy to take lots of pics and post floor plans and try to answer WCIFs and to generally help people to recreate the lots themselves. In this particular case, the structures are really very simple; it’s the landscaping that’s harder. :)
