Public Image Ltd released their fifth studio album “Album” on January 27, 1986, which featured the singles “Rise” and “Home”.

Public Image Limited 「PiL日本’83」 Virgin Video – VVD 022 (VHS) UK 1983

初来日公演を収録したビデオ。しかし東京・中野サンプラザ他、大阪、京都、そして何故かロサンゼルスでの映像もミックスされ、あたかもワンステージのように編集されている。メンバーの衣装や観客は当然ながらバラバラ。 当時のPiLはすでにキース・レヴィン、ジャー・ウォブルが脱退しており、オリジナルメンバーとして残っていたのはジョン・ライドンとドラマーのマーティン・アトキンスのみ。この時期からPiLは実質上ジョンのソロ・プロジェクトへと変貌しつつあった。 新宿／秋葉原／原宿を散策するオフショットが愉しい。
