Brief breaking of silence to opine on Finding Paradise's advertising
So I was looking at Finding Paradise's posters today on a whim, and I realized something seemingly simple: while Finding Paradise did suffer from A Bird Story not being liked by many TtM fans, and many other TtM fans not "getting" Colin's predicament, I think the advertising, while not exactly bad, missed a good opportunity to capitalize on one of TtM's key features: the horror of the mind's lies. It would have been a good way to appeal to TtM fans while being true to the spirit of the product; after all, Colin's hyperimaginative brain is a core pillar of Finding Paradise's story, and the big twist is about how his supposed good childhood friend was naught but a figment of his own imagination that happened to encourage him in a positive way, absent parenting or any "real" guidance.
