Our First Class - 8/31
Coming into class today, I didn’t know what to expect. Fortunately, Professor Piland cleared up what the class would be about, and I’m thankful it is more about design than coding (which gives me anxiety to this day ever since taking COM210). I really enjoyed watching the two videos we saw about Webydo and Grid. Resources like these blow my mind because I never knew that there was a way to design websites that look as professionally as the ones on Webydo without using code. I have a Weebly myself, but I wouldn’t say it’s up to “professional” standards. The fact that Grid uses technology in the way that it does, making use of artificial intelligence to create a website based on what you tell it to do. Things are really looking up for web design lately, making it even easier for those who want to build things but just aren’t sure how (like me!). I’m really looking forward to being able to try out these resources and get a feel for what works best for me and what would make my website look even more professional.
