Hi guys i like the hit game Construction from the hit game roblox.
I really like Pilgrim ragdoll.

I'm going to fix my design of him later because i mildly dislike it
Another construction oc
Idk if someone thought of this yet but..
I’m so interested of this game…
I’ve ultimately decided to talk about the Roblox game Construction by Wozezze: a game I’d personally deem to be a liminal horror—or at least containing horror elements—with how it’s constructed (badum-tss).
This IS spoiler territory for those who have not yet played!! You’ve been warned!!
(A helpful guide video is linked later within this post if needed for your playthrough)
-
I found out about this game through Construction fanart posts, animations, etc. across various platforms featuring the few characters. Sadly, not a lot of fanart media was created from what little I’ve seen of it. For what there is though, it’s all AMAZING!
Those posts alone inspired me to get my hands on that game no matter what.
However, the original game is not to be confused with Construction | Darkest Hours Map Concept Showcase made by kingboom29013, which has the character from Wozezze’s game displayed in the thumbnail (this is why you read descriptions in full). It is also mobile accessible.
You could probably imagine any mobile player’s devastation to realizing that this lovely game created by Wozezze is PC exclusive. I am strictly a mobile player but even then I was very much determined to play this game no matter what it took.
I decided to stoop low and boot up our shit-box of a PC; taking up half an hour of my life just loading various things due to a really shitty hard drive that desperately needs to be replaced— But FINALLY I discovered that I wasn’t insane and the game was in-fact just for the PC exclusively. I loaded it up and had the experience that follows:
•
I’ve seen multiple people proclaim this game to have been a walking sim, critically or genuinely. Although my friend @submergedserenade had played it before the re-spike of popularity, after the update:
Release date: 4/16/25 Update: 10/27/25
My friend had this to say:
“i dont really remember, but i played before the respike popularity; not pre-update
it was lwk more terrifying because i jumped into the game completely blind, and i was there to explore and see what it was about! i did enjoy it, but it was genuinely eerie to me because i did not know anything about the game before hopping into it,” — Fish / Jaden
Again, the game itself is incredibly liminal in my opinion. Like a backrooms-esque sort of deal. The game audio itself is a key factor to the ambiance of your play-through.
Hell, the reason I wasn’t as paranoid my time around was because I didn’t have the speakers connected (and was far too tired to do so at the time) so it took away from my experience a bit… woops. If I did have audio, believe me when I say I’d be far more dramatic with my descriptions of this game; but I can still remain quite accurate with some helpful YouTube guides (linked and explained later on)!
If you’re curious: The game’s audio isn’t necessarily required to play the game, but it is pretty helpful for progressing, FYI.

When you’re placed into the very first portion of the game, you will see what are called Ragdolls standing around.
The game doesn’t give you any indicators as to where to go; you mostly just take in the sights and wander. However, there are ways to make progress, albeit strewn around in very specific areas of the environment given.
The game has a lot to offer room-wise and I’d also say visually. There are multiple interesting areas branching off from where you’re actually supposed to go, so it’s quite difficult to backtrack and not get lost.
There are multiple hidden areas; if you play this game with the goal of only progressing to see the end and you haven’t watched any prior clips about it, you are guaranteed to get stuck, upset, and probably ragequit… That’s my fair warning to you ^_^””
Although, I’m a determined lad and have decided to look up a video of someone else progressing through the many levels/chapters! It was real late at the time for me, so I just wanted to witness progress as fast as possible.
I watched a Full Gameplay video of Construction by Magib over on YouTube. This was a very helpful guide I used to make my way around. The video itself is watered down to 33 minutes and 10 seconds: 33:10 runtime. It does not include every single room and hidden area the game has to offer. It is JUST the progress portion.
Another good video to watch, if you want the mostly full experience, is linked here. Video by Sybyllinear on YouTube. It is 1 hour 47 minutes and 55 seconds long — 1:46:55 runtime. (Neither of these videos linked have commentary!)
Even then, I still struggled with some parkour moments (especially those goddamn rocks. I was probably stuck there for 13 minutes… #parkourgod) and certain puzzles given, which were just… SO random to me. I’d have to be half-asleep to come up with puzzles and “objectives” like that. Either way, progress IS possible! And relieving.
And said progress leads to some fun elements of this game that we’re all here for…

The Cutscenes:
I want to talk about the cutscenes next, and I’ll also be describing them and what happens.
Fair warning, this is a horror game and does include: threat of violence, violence acted out in the form of physical attack, blood mention, unsettling eye contact, and potentially more horror elements. If any of these irk you, I advise you stay away from this game.
I will begin describing each cutscene in order!
- IWantToHelp’s Introduction:
I don’t usually do favorites but this guy was just so charming to meet.
You don’t encounter IWantToHelp until much later in the game but once you do, you will see them on the opposite structure across from you! Once you make your way through a long hole in the wall, you will then officially be introduced to them.
They stand at a distance on top of a bridge-like structure above the ground before you. They point out how “Player is currently lost” and they WantToHelp!
(If your game stutters at this point and IWantToHelp doesn’t appear for the cutscene, you may have to leave. BUT, don’t fret, because Wozezze was merciful enough to give us players chapter selection, which you will see in the VERY start of your game upon entering ^_^ !! So, that’s exactly what happened to me and that’s exactly what I had to do…)
IWantToHelp does help out somewhat, relieving you of your puzzle-doing duties for a little bit by opening a door for you! After that, you’re on your own from there. That’s where it gets more puzzle-heavy.
- IWantToHelp’s DEATH (and TopHat’s introduction):
Once you complete the agonizing puzzles (without much help from the little lad…), you run into IWantToHelp once again! They cheer for you, excited to see you once more.
However, one of the nearby Ragdoll’s (yes, the one in the TopHat) will jerk to life, grab onto your friend, and proceed to pummel them into the ground, leaving a splatter of blood in their wake. (YES we were devastated, don’t remind me)
TopHat raises IWantToHelp into the air with the little Ba-Baaaaa 🎉 sound affect. I was deeply offended.
Text will flash on your screen, however, reading:
“Leave Us Alone.”
TopHat leaves, leaving only IWantToHelp’s blood on the floor. On your own once again.
- Runner’s appearance:
Runner is an underrated one within the fanart community, so I’ve seen 🤔 His cutscene is quite short, though (due to how SPEEDY he is!!!).
Runner is another Ragdoll that makes his appearance after you click / turn off a gramophone playing music. He will immediately sprint at you right after, sending you on to the next level / chapter.
- The Pilgrim’s appearance:
The Pilgrim ragdoll will appear almost immediately as you are transported to the next chapter. He will be behind a cell-like wall with green bars.
He walks into the area, the two of you separated. Pilgrim first looks at you, takes the shotgun off of his back, cocks it, and moves on to the next room. A clear indicator of what’s to potentially come, and a silent threat. He has a clear goal set in mind for the player.
- The Elevator Operator and Pilgrim’s reappearance:
After progressing even FURTHER, you will manage to find the Elevator Operator: NOT a ragdoll. Just about the same size as yourself and IWantToHelp. Very similar to IWantToHelp’s color palette too 🤔
The fella notices you once you approach and helps place you inside the elevator. Before they can get it running, however, The Pilgrim returns. Creeping out of the dark from behind, the Pilgrim slams the Elevator Operator onto the floor and tosses them aside into the oddly agape elevator shaft below.
Pilgrim turns to you and lifts up his shotgun before he suddenly pauses, glancing up above at something else. He lifts the gun higher and shoots at what I can infer to be the very structure holding the elevator up.
You plummet down into the dark, concluding Part 1 of Construction by Wozezze !!
And my segment of the cutscenes!

Part 2 is implied to be coming out soon, but how soon from now is To Be Determined. Personally, I’m more than willing to be patient for this next part. However, I won’t be touching the game until then; that is unless I want to wander around some more.
For me, I believe this game is a one-and-done kind of deal, if we’re looking at it from a strictly-playing-to-progress (and to witness the few animated characters) point of view. Otherwise, it’s a game where you can wander and explore multiple areas and take in the abnormal sights, if that’s anything you’re into.
This is my first experience of Wozezze’s works, so I’m very much tempted to play some more of their games that they’ve made ^_^ All of their games will be for PC only, FYI.
My friend Fish has played their works as a PC player aerself, so ae have more experience with Wozezze’s works than I do. I have no clue what to expect from any other works of theirs. I may try them out sometime with Fish and post about it too 🤔 We’ll see.

Digging into this game lore wise:
Admittedly? A bit of a struggle. If there is further lore, then this is something I’d have to replay quite a few times to understand. That’s just how our brain works when it comes to understanding and processing stuff like this :/
Although I haven’t played the game Darkest Hours by Oculus Inc, it still features one of Wozezze’s characters (TopHat). This has had me speculating if that game has anything to do with the lore to Construction whatsoever. Though part of me doubts that a little bit… but I haven’t even played the game for myself, so we’ll see about that as well.
I will be taking the elements directly from the game first before looking at anything outside of that.
In the very beginning, after touching what appears to be a book, a wall opens up to read “Free them.” Who exactly are we supposed to be freeing? I’m unsure. Perhaps the Ragdolls, as the ones that stood outside before triggering the interaction were gone by the time that first message appeared.
Or perhaps we’re supposed to try and help the shorter, more colorful characters that are around our avatar’s size—similar to IWantToHelp. Honestly though, that one fella you can spot dancing at the fountain of one of the chapters seemed to have been doing just fine, so perhaps scratch that idea... Hell, honestly it could be a whole ‘nother group that we’re supposed to help free in Part 2.
I’ve wondered if those many ragdolls were hidden within that labyrinthine complex for a reason. The message “Leave Us Alone” could indicate that they’re right where they want / need to be and we are the ones intruding and bothering them. But that then begs the questions; how are we bothering them? Do they even want to be freed?
We could think of it in the territorial sense; maybe we truly are an intruder and they feel our presence disrupting theirs.
That, or perhaps they are sick of being treated like what we label them as; Ragdolls. We haven’t yet seen their mistreatment firsthand though.
-
However, I have seen animations, fanarts, etc. of what I can only guess to be headcanons (if any of these are canon, feel very free to let us know).
These headcanons include the main three Ragdolls that we’ve seen animated in-game so far—TopHat, Runner, and Pilgrim. The songs that stick out to me and that I’ve seen them linked to are Malmo, and Intruder by enjambre (which you may know better as the Es de Anatomía / His Anatomy) song that’s been trending with angst artists.
Perhaps there’s a certain jealousy Ragdolls have toward Robloxians (speculating that that is what IWantToHelp and the Elevator Operator are as well as ourselves being the same), as the Robloxian anatomy—shorter and stubbier and far blockier—is seen as the norm, whereas Ragdoll anatomy is far lankier and much more uncanny than what we’re used to. When we first saw them we were just naturally offset by their much taller frames!
(I just had the thought of “We’re like the mega blox to their Legos” LMAO)
Perhaps us being in their territory is just a consistent reminder of what’s “normal” to basically everyone out there. A reminder of what they aren’t and can’t possibly be. Hell, TopHat used that height, strength, and Ragdoll form altogether as an advantage to kill IWantToHelp where they once stood.
Speaking of those little reminders, they’re everywhere!
Wandering around—as you do—you’ll see a lot of robloxian heads with the classic smile faces stamped onto them. The usual for us, but not for the Ragdolls. The ragdolls don’t have a face! They don’t have mouths, and they don’t have the beady robloxian eyes. What made them stand out even further were their own bulging eyes—in which we only see on the sentient or “awake” ones like TopHat, Runner, and Pilgrim. I’d like to speculate those heads are just repetitious reminders of what they’re not.
This could explain the Ragdoll’s disdain for the player and the others that are more like IWantToHelp and the Elevator Operator.
However, and I know you love that word, might I also theorize that perhaps the ragdolls are targeting the player only? That perhaps IWantToHelp and others alike don’t even matter to them. Maybe because IWantToHelp and the Elevator Operator are different from the ideal robloxian as well. IWantToHelp has a custom face, whereas Elevator Operator’s head proportions are outstretched and abnormal. Those two could be something else entirely.
I also theorize this because, in TopHat’s cutscene, he looks to YOU and tells YOU to “Leave Us Alone.” He could’ve just killed IWantToHelp as a warning.
Pilgrim also specifically targets YOU. He sees you first upon entering the final chapter and sets a clear goal for himself.
He doesn’t bother to shoot Elevator Operator and simply tosses them off of the platform into the elevator shaft like some obstacle despite them being out in the open and you within the elevator already—behind a fence-like structure used to close the elevator. It’s like his bullets are only worth it for YOU. This rounds back to my theory of us being an intruder of sorts. Even if that isn’t the case, we are still very much not welcomed.
-
I am THRILLED for upcoming part 2, if it ever graces the face of Roblox, and will definitely have to talk about once it releases… I’m hoping to witness more ragdolls and their interactions with the player and their surroundings.
If you yourself have any theories of your own or anything to say in general, PLEASE do! I would love to hear it. Questions are also welcomed.

Thank you so much for reading this far if you have, this post is extremely long and very different from what I normally do.
We were somehow passionate enough in the noggin to discuss something as abnormal and fun as Construction by Wozezze. This was only done within a day, so editing and add-ons are to be expected in the future!
Don’t worry, I will make it clear if I do edit anything bigger back into this.

Thank you to my friends for chatting with me and encouraging this post as well, I really do appreciate it lots ^_^
