Juliette never wanted to be a mother. She knew she’d be absolutely no good at it. How could she be? Her mother wasn’t exactly the most maternal, and she was fairly certain she would follow suit.
Adam broached the topic with her over and over again until she finally gave in. She couldn’t deny him this; something that he would be more than good at. There was no doubt in her mind that he’d be a good father. It was a role he was born to play and one he certainly deserved at that.
Yet, the first time she held their son in her arms, she fell in love with him. She may not be good at being a mother right away, but for their baby she would learn.
