Pilot!Sam x Flight Attendant!Reader
I’m?? In love with this concept??
Okay okay, so you’d be in flight school, trying to get your final qualifications to be a pilot yourself. To pass the time and make money in between classes and such, you would want to stay close to planes, and so you decided to take up a job as a flight attendant.
It wasn’t always fun, with the hectic bustle of the airports, tired passengers and crying kids, but one thing you could always look forward to, was flying with Sam as your pilot.
Your friendship had started when one day you’d found yourself exploring the pilot’s seat before people had begun to load into the cabin, in your own little self until you heard the door open and close. You’d turned around in a rush. To your surprise, there was the pilot and co-pilot, equally surprised to see you, in your uniform with hair pulled back.
“Sorry, miss, we’re really the only ones supposed to be back here-“ “No, it’s alright, what can I do for you?” Sam had been the one to cut off his copilot to stand up for you. You’d embarrassedly express that you’d simply intended to take a look around, because you were preparing to become a pilot yourself in a few months.
Sam had smiled warmly. “Really? That’s so awesome, when will you get your license?” You and him had struck up easy conversation, and from then on, you guys made sure you were on the same flights for the most part.
You’d always be so excited when you had an extended time between flights, gettin to explore new places all around the world with Sam. He’d make sure to ask you to be a pilot with him as soon as you got your license, evasive he feared flying wouldn’t be as gratifying without you around anymore.
Of course, he stepped down to co-pilot so you could have the position of pilot (something about how he was ready to “be able to nap on the ride”) of course, he never did.
The two of you alternated positions on the day, and after a few years of being a great team, Sam decided maybe it was time to call you his, for forever. Nothing sounded more lovely to his ears than hearing “Holland” after both of your names as you were announced to your passengers on each flight.
