So, tonight I started watching the recent first season of Poldark.

Going in, I knew Ross/Demelza was going to be the main couple of the show. I knew Ross/Elizabeth was just backdrop, exposition info.

I KNEW THIS.

But ok, RE hit on 3 of my top ship types (not to mention the intense dramatic music in all their scenes omggg)

1) exes getting back together 2) lovers reuniting after being thought dead/being gone a long time 3) first love

So, I mean...

No lie, I spent more than half the ep wishing they would be the main couple & get back together, even though I knew how unrealistic it was - even before she got married.

I’m sure I will love RD to PIECES, but rn I’m having a hard time letting go of what could’ve been. *sigh*

My grandma tells me the Elizabeth here reminds her of the Elizabeth in PotC - to which I wonder if I should just rewatch PotC if I want that kind of love story. lol.

I love that Sam still helps Andy with her case even though she blew his cover! Luke thought he was sending Andy on a wild chase but nope, Sam was legit. The good guy, from day one.
