Originally the concept was for an actual drawing (which I might still do) but I thought, “WAIT! I CAN ACTUALLY MAKE A CHARACTER FROM THIS!” So here we are. Ideas below \/
This isn’t necessarily an insert into the show’s canon or my own canon as the design would suggest, but parts of it still could be (for story fun). As I’ve written before, the design was intended for a symbolic art piece I had in mind. But with there being ACTUAL zombies in S3 I thought it would be fun to make it into a living character too.
It makes sense to me. In my own little understanding, I’ve spoke about how the original’s ‘soul’ is caught in a constant reset after the body (that they pass onto in the next timeline) dies. But what of the original’s OWN body? I thought it would be super cool if it was somehow still ALIVE. That trying to manipulate the fabric of time can be MESSY. The conscious part of Pilot Gary might continue through the ’spirit’, but the body is left with very little, a subconscious.
The Wandering Pilot, as he’s currently referred to, is a rare sight only very few people are lucky (or unlucky) enough to find. Is it a Ghost? a cryptid? An omen? None of the finders are certain. What’s been recorded is that this being is constantly moving, using its only functional hand as way to see what’s near him (sense of touch) . It’s been noted that he can disappear on the spot. They think he’s searching for something…someone? He seems particularly drawn to voices.
As peaceful he appears to be, you cannot allow him to come too close. There’s a Timeworm living in the wandering corpse, which is EXTREMELY HOSTILE to anything within a certain range.
Bitten by the Timeworm will leave you a painful death in seconds. In the chance that you DO survive after the bite (which is a possibility, but chance FAR WORSE), you’ll either die later or suffer effects for the rest of your life. These effects can include:
Extreme memory loss
Rapid Body ageing or de-aging
Your form becoming unstable from the very atom, forcing you to live in a controlled atmosphere
An extreme cause of Motor disorder
Paralysation + coma
(And possibly countless more to be recorded)
There are also rumours that being bitten may kill your body but not your spirit, and like ghosts, haunt the place in which you died. That your soul is forced to re-live the memory of its entire life over and over again, never able to recover and pass on.
The relationship between The Wandering Pilot and it’s dangerous guest seems to be almost parasitic. While the body seems to be on its own journey, the worm will sometimes intervene by using its own weight to lean the body into a new direction (effectively steering it on a new path). The Worm also seems to be living off the body’s remains. There have been cases where body was found to show (and somehow, create sounds of) discomfort towards the Timeworms unwelcomed company.
It is for the best that you leave The Wandering Pilot be and on it’s way.
Yo imagine finding out you had countless past lives and your original self/your soul has been in a constant fight with the universe just so you could be in a world where your friends and the universe in it wasn't dead from your mistakes
@fudgestuff ‘s Time-Swapper AU again. Concepts on TS Gary breaking time, messing with the universal order (and getting a good punch in the jaw by 2016-FS Pilot Gary), and a “Time demon”, a fusion between Time Swapper Gary and Titan Forge’s Gary.
