Out-Of-Columns - Please Read

Hello, dearies!

Sorry for my recent absence; I've been (and I still am) really busy nowadays. University started this week, so my life is quite hectic right now. Hopefully, it will get better later, but right now it's completely chaotic.

I have quite a lot of classes this semester, so I think I won't be very active, but I'm still here and still wanting to go on with the threads I have (and making new ones, too), because they are awesome. However, replies will be slower, so please, be patient with me. Thank you. I love you all.

Someone, close by, walking the halls of her lonesome retreat. Lonesome, she loathed the term. For someone who had been promised to never be alone, she sure found herself lacking company other than her two fearlings quite often. "Hello?" she calls. "Is anyone there?"

She paused, looking up from the hot biscuits recently pulled out of the kitchen oven, and stared at nearest window for a few moments.

There had been movement. Not the wild animal scurrying around kind, either. It was the 'I'm a person right outside your house' movement.

For most people, a random movement outside of one's kitchen window wouldn't have raised any alarms. For Corinna, however, whose home went unnoticed by a majority of people, someone walking around it outside caught her attention pretty quickly.

She unrolled the long sleeves of her exaggerated dip hem shirt before reaching down and pulling a long and thin wooden wand from her worn out boots. Corinna sincerely doubted that whoever she saw was hostile, but assuming whoever to be outside as an amiable being wasn't a good idea, either.

She pushed the ancient wooden door down and stepped outside. As the door swung shut behind her, she couldn't help a small shiver in the chilly air.

Gossamer wings twitching, she turned around, purple eyes taking in the area.

Maybe it was a wild animal?

"Is anyone out here?!" She reluctantly called out, rising a few feet in the air in hopes of spotting someone else.

"What's your favorite flower Lois?"

"Hmm... I'm torn between orchids and roses and I also like small, colorful wildflowers."

Lois took a sip of her coffee, with her eyes on her tablet, looking throught the questions again, while she was waiting for her interviewee. They had already published an article about The Aizo's invasion. However, the exclusive interview with the pilot who fought them off was yet to be made. She was curious about her, wanting to know more about this woman, who drove the plane that put an end to that alien invasion. All on her own. She had hardly met female pilots beofre, even as an army brat. She nodded ad little as she checked her questions, then she looked around the café to see if the woman had arrived yet.
