Lois blinked a few in suprise, hearing the hologram's apology. She was astonished by the fact that he remembered her. "It's alright," she assured him, "you don't need to apologize," she added. "It's my pleasure," she said with a smile. She was indeed glad to see Clark's biological father again. At his question, she pressed her lips together, thinking about what she would like to hear first. "Well, how was life on Krypton? What did people do there? What was their jobs?" she wondered.

Clark grinned when she said she could eat more and Mrs. Kent was there to put more food on her plate, ‘What are you apologizing for?’ she smiled, ‘If you can eat, then you should eat,’ she nodded before she handed the bowl to Clark who piled the food up on his tray. ‘I made plenty of food…I’ve raised him so I had to get used to making enough for an army,’ she joked.

The young man laughed when she mentioned making all that food, “I couldn’t help it,” he shrugged. “I was a growing kid…I grew out of it.”

She shook her head, ‘No you didn’t Clark….I couldn’t keep anything in this house during his teenage years,’ she smiled. ‘And he’s still that way, but he has slowed down a little.’

He laughed again as he put some food on his fork. They settled into quiet as they ate, Clark eating six plates of food, having to go into the kitchen a few times to grab more food. Once everyone was finished he stood and collected the plates and then went to start the dishes.

Martha was looking at Lois across the table, a small smile on her face, ‘You know he looks at you the way Jonathan used to look at me,’ she pointed out quietly, though she knew Clark could hear them if he wanted to listen.

"Thank you, Mrs. Kent," Lois said, blushing, feeling a little embarrassed as she watched the other woman placing more food on her plate. Her eyes widened when she saw how much food Clark got - she still had to get used to the amount of food he could eat. She laughed at the joke, but then she realized that it wasn't exactly a joke as she saw Clark eating six plates of food. Lois was full whe she finished hers and she leaned back in her chair contentedly. "It was very delicious, Mrs. Kent," she said, smiling as Clark collected the plates. "Do you need help with it?" she asked him.

Then she turned back to Martha, noticing that the woman was looking at her. She smiled back at her and then she blushed as she heard what she said. "Really?" she asked with a fluttering heart. She knew how much Mr. Kent loved his wife and it sent a wave of warmth through her body and soul knowing that Clark was looking at her like this. On the other hand, it was a little frightening as well, since she wasn't used to this. She swept a lock of hair behind her ear, then she took a sip of her glass.
