“Why are we here you ask? Well, I could simply teach my students archaeology, but don’t you think it would be better for them to see it firsthand?” The professor hums, pushing a rock out of the way with her foot. They were at the entrance to an area of ruins that she had claimed that she never stood foot in before. This had been a lie and she had scouted it beforehand to see if it would be a good fit for her experiment, of which Pimple was unfortunately and unknowingly the subject.
“It shouldn’t take long at all. Nobody explores out here except history fanatics like me. There are bound to be plenty of treasures as we descend.” She said this nonchalantly, handing Pimple a large stick with fabric wrapped around the top which she lit with a small lighter. She had one for herself as well. Sure she had light magic and a backup flashlight in her bag. The professor merely found it a bit more unsettling to carry these into the darkness, which was part of the plan. Raine took a few steps forward into the crumbling structure and turned her head to look back at her companion.
“What’s wrong, Pimple? Did you forget something at the oasis?” Or was he already scared?
