Words
I ponder on the days I lay awake thinking about you thinking of me. It seems I've lost my drive. When you left, I lost you but I found myself. Now it seems like I've got no where to go, but importantly no more drive to take me anywhere. I write and write and none of the lines in my writing relate to you. Where do I go now? Where do I even begin?
It seems I was so fixated on you for the last three years, the first year in loving you and the last two in finding some sort of way of leaving you. And now I've left and you've left but I don't feel okay. Given, your departure hasn't hindered my abilities to proceed, but rather, I long for some sort of pain to keep me writing. I sit here thinking of the way you hurt me and accept the fact that I am no longer wounded. But when I saved myself and began loving again the wounds closed and with that so did my words and I felt lonely without writing.
Now I am here wondering if I could be okay without words and without you. A part of me wants to welcome you back, just for the sake of keeping the lines that hide my inner most feelings, but even then your presence won't be worth the small paragraphs I dedicate to your existence, not then, not now, not ever.
I will be okay, without you, without words, without hollowness.
