“For the love of Celestia, when will the weather team move the rain clouds over to the shopping district? The grass is yellow and death is yelling at them!” Pine Breeze, Ponyville’s head public gardener, grumbled. Laying on his left on a sofa, he flipped his body so that he was now on his right and looking outward. “This wouldn’t happen in back in Winnipegasi! Up there, they know what they need to do to help keep the place looking nice!”
“So why don’t you just move back up there?” Davenport, the owner of ‘Davenport’s Sofas & Quills,’ asked as he examined the sofas in his store, which was current empty of customers.
“Why?” Pine Breeze echoed. “I’ve told you before. They don’t want to see my face again after the whole incident with the pinecones.”
“So you made a mistake.” Davenport responded as he made marks to a sofa’s price.
“Yes, I made a mist-… Was that a question or statement?” Pine Breeze asked as he lifted his head to get a better look at Davenport.
“An assumption, at least from what you’ve told me over the year.” Davenport answered.
“…Yeah, I did. I did make a mistake. But it wasn’t completely my fault! If the trash disposers hadn’t switch schedule with the firework ingredient collectors, then I wouldn’t have made the mistake! It’s not my fault I don’t pay attention to the jobs of others! I have to do mine, and that’s busy enough as it is!” Pine Breeze complained.
“But was there a way for you to find out if there was a switch in the schedule?” Davenport asked.
“Well, yeah. But they didn’t inform me about it themselves.” Pine Breeze answered.
“Have you informed the weather team about the shopping district needing water?” Davenport asked.
Pine Breeze opened his mouth and then closed it. He proceeded to stare at Davenport for well over a minute. His face was one of both critical thinking and apathy. Finally, he opened his mouth again. “No,” he let out.
“Don’t you think the weather team would move the rain clouds if you asked them to?” Davenport asked, a small smile of smugness on his face.
“Well…” Pine Breeze looked away. “…Probably.”
“So why haven’t you asked them?” Davenport responded while moving so that he was in Pine Breeze’s point of view again.
“I don’t exactly care about them outside their duty. Nothing against them as a whole, but I just don’t like them. Especially their leader, Rainbow Splash or whatever what-er-face’s name is.” Pine Breeze adjusted his body again, this time setting the front half of his body straight up. “Have I told you about the time she tried doing my job?”
Davenport rolled his eyes. “Yes, you’ve told me about it every day since it happened two weeks ago.”
“Yeah, well I still can’t get over it.” Pine Breeze closed his eyes and shook his head. “The nerve of her! Does she not understand that every individual has a role to play in society, and that she was crossing over into my role?”
“I heard she was going through a rough time at the time, so maybe you should loosen the rope on her.” Davenport commented.
“Why?” Pine Breeze growled.
“Because wouldn’t it have been nice for your bosses in Winnipegasi to cut you some slack?” Davenport questioned.
Pine Breeze paused for a moment. “Why do you always got to be so rational?” he asked.
“Well, it helps me out in my life, and I figured that it might help out with yours as well.”
“…It does.” Pine Breeze responded. Sighing, he got off of the sofa. “Honestly, things aren’t so bad here in Ponyville. There are a lot of advantages this place has over Winnipegasi.” He turned so that he was staring face-to-face with Davenport.
“Oh?” Davenport asked with a smile. “Would you mind telling me those advantages?”
Pine Breeze smiled back and moved his head closer to Davenport’s. “Certainly. Winnipegasi doesn’t have you, your sofas, and your quills.”
“You’re a really kind boyfriend, Pine Breeze,” Davenport responded as he began rubbing his head next to Pine Breeze’s.
“Not as kind as you.” Pine Breeze said.
Davenport stopped rubbing his head against Pine Breeze. Smiling again, he moved his lips towards Pine Breeze’s. Pine Breeze opened his lips and tilted his head. Within a moment, their lips were interlocked, and their tongues were exchanging physical greetings.
Suddenly, Pine Breeze removed his lips from Davenport’s. Just as quickly, however, he began kissing along Davenport’s neck, causing him to moan.
“Wa… Wait…” Davenport moaned. Pine Breeze stopped and looked at him. “Let’s move to the back room, just in case anypony walks in on us.”
“But I already have.” A voice said.
Turning around, Davenport saw who it was. “R-RAINBOW WISHES?! WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN HERE?!”
The white unicorn mare with a purple-and-blue mane smiled. “Well, I was just walking by, and I happened to see two lovers loving, and I couldn’t help but notice and come in to admire you two, because all couples should be admired and are you about to throw a sofa at mmm---“
But it was too late for Rainbow Wishes to finish her chain of though. Davenport had thrown a sofa at her. Moving at an unbelievable force, the sofa, which was made out of incredibly soft material, knocked Rainbow Wishes out through the store’s doors, and pushed her into a tree. Although largely unharmed, with no wounds or broken bones, the action had caused Rainbow Wishes to begin fading away to unconsciousness. Her last thoughts before going black were ‘worth it!’ and ‘yay! free sofa!’
“Why did you throw a sofa at her?” Pine Breeze asked Davenport back in the store.
“I… I couldn’t help it. I was in a shock. And she wasn’t hurt. That sofa was made literally made out of clouds. I just hope she understands… ” Davenport responded.
“I… I guess she might. She’ll probably want us to make out in front of her again sometime to make up for that.” Pine Breeze sighed.
“Well, let’s not think about that for now.” Davenport said as he began smiling again. “Why don’t we go to the back room so we can continue?”
“Let’s.” Pine Breeze said back with a smile.
And so the two lovers went to the back room of Davenport’s store where they totally made out and did all kind of stuff like flip flopping, oral, rimming, and all that other kinky stuff. And they also ruined a sofa.
Rainbow Wishes forgave them after they gave her security footage of their love-making and the sofa they made love on.
They then all lived happily ever after... for a while. Rainbow Wishes just enjoys admiring a couple, even when that couple doesn't exactly enjoy being watched. Well, Pine Breeze secretly enjoys it, and he intends to get around to talking to Davenport about that one day, but that's another story for another day.
