folklore inspired tattoo 🌲🌲 this year, i suffered deeply with severe anxiety. my relationships were strained, i was in a constant state of panic and i struggled to leave my house. i couldn’t even listen to taylor’s old music because it brought up memories of happier and better times and served as a painful reminder of what i could no longer feel or achieve. the anxiety eventually morphed into depression and after months and months of trying to heal myself without medication, i accepted that i needed more help. my amazing psychologist and doctor helped me become comfortable with the idea of taking medication and the support of my boyfriend, family and friends was truly immense. about a week into starting my medication, just as i was starting to feel a slight grasp on the person i used to be before anxiety took over, folklore was released and i felt true happiness for the first time since january. this tattoo represents the strength i uncovered to overcome my anxiety and the way taylor showed up at the perfect moment to give me my first happy memory all year. there are two pine trees because my favourite song is track two, cardigan. i feel so insanely lucky to have grown up with taylor in my life and to have her music as a hand to hold when things are tough so it only felt right that she inspired my first ever tattoo 💕💕 @taylorswift
