#pineapple attack

i have recently started the show psych but i’m so confused on why they just have pineapples everywhere. is there a certain randomness aspect to pineapples?? are pineapples considerably significant to the episodic structure of psych?? why are there so many pineapples?? why not something else?? PINEAPPLE ATTACK
