Pineapples | Nailing It

Lately, I’ve really been loving painting my nails yellow and wanted to do a tutorial which featured the colour. To keep the summer theme going on this blog, I settled on doing some pineapple nails. Confession: I don’t actually like pineapples, but I still think these nails are super cute anyway. What’s your favourite fruit for summer?

Materials:

1) Base Coat

2) Top Coat

3) Yellow Nail Polish

4) Brown Paint

5) Green Paint

6) Small Paint Brush

Procedure:

1) Start with base coat across all of your nails.

2) Paint two coats of yellow nail polish.

3) Dip your small paint brush into the brown paint.

4) Create diagonal lines down your entire nail, redipping in the paint when necessary.

5) After this, create a second series of diagonal lines that go in the opposite direction. This will make the criss-cross design.

6) Clean off the paint brush and dip into the green paint. 

7) A third of the nail up from the cuticle, paint a horizontal zigzag line. 

8) From this zigzag to the cuticle, fill in with more green paint.

9) Use a layer of top coat for a long-lasting look.
