Okay so I've been watching the Pineapple Slice MV for two hours now and I still can't believe it. My jaw dropped and I’m still not okay.
The song is amazingly good. I thought it would be more of a cute citypop song, but the song has a dark vibe that I really liked. It makes me want to dance and I might even buy a pineapple later at the market so I can dive deeper in its sweet slices 🍍🔥
Baekhyun's breath control is INSANE and his voice seems more and more stable and powerful (here I'm referring to the live performance, since in the MV everything is previously recorded lol).
I'm completely in love with the MV. We can see that he worked hard with his team and delivered EVERYTHING. The filming locations are beautiful, the colors fit perfectly and there's a story being told from start to finish. Compared to his other MVs, this one is absolutely perfect. We can see a huge leap here from SM's Baekhyun to INB100's Baekhyun: much more confident, much happier and much freer to do whatever he wants. Also, he looks so relaxed! He’s indeed in his best shape.
The vampire concept? I WASN'T PREPARED FOR THIS. Baekhyun broke the internet and for the past two hours I've been seeing comments like "I want to be bitten by him". I was a teenage fan of the Twilight saga so you gotta understand that I haven't heard this kind of statement in at least 15 years. I can't believe Baekhyun made the vampire aesthetic cool again. This man is a LEGEND.
Also, all those Michael Jackson references in the choreography? I almost FREAKED OUT. His moves are a very well done homage to the king of pop. I'm so fucking proud of him. Album of the year, artist of the year, Baekhyun deserves all the success in the world!
I hope Pineapple Slice is a worldwide success so we can have an international tour 🥵
