Pineapple Sushi 33+35
33. Baby Fic + 35. Bathtub Fic
We’ve been talking about this as a concept back and forth for awhile but, once I actually got to writing it, this came out quite a bit more morbid than I was expecting. Oh, and Kiragi’s a toddler instead of a baby. Anyway, here we go.

A light knock on the washroom’s door caused Lilith to look up from her book. The door creaked open and Takumi poked his head in. “Hey, Tik-Tak.” She greeted warmly.
“Hey, Blue Bi-uhhh, what are you doing?” He cut himself off when his eyes went to the book in her hands.
“Uh...reading?” The blue-and-red-haired woman responded.
“What about Kiragi?” The archer’s face creased in worry.
“Well,” Lilith began casually. “First I shampooed his hair, then I washed the rest of him. After that, I changed the water so he could splash around without getting soap in his eyes. Then, I guess he fell asleep.”
“What?! Fell asleep?!” All color drained from Takumi’s face and he darted over to small bathtub they’d had made for their son. Lilith stood and crossed the room to stand next to him. A pair of reddish-brown eyes looked up at the two of them.
“Huh, I guess he didn’t fall asleep.” Lilith thought out loud. “I should probably get him out, though. Dinner’s going to be soon and you know how he gets when he’s hungry.” She rolled up her sleeves and made sure she had a towel handy before she reached into the water to pick up her little boy.
Kiragi began shivering the instant he left the water. “C-cowd!” He exclaimed.
“I know, I know.” Lilith cooed as she wrapped the towel around her son. “Let’s get you nice and dry and then you can wear some warm clothes, okay?” She brushed aside his hair - the same shade of blue as hers - and pressed a kiss to his forehead.
“O-otay...” He replied, teeth chattering.
The blue-and-red-haired woman looked to find her husband looking at her in complete disbelief. “What?” She asked nonchalantly.
“He...didn’t...drown?” Takumi asked, stupified. He held out his arms when Kiragi called for “papa” to take him and hold him against his shoulder. Kiragi quickly began to tug on various parts of his father’s spiky collar the moment it was in arms’ reach.
“Well, of course, he didn’t, you silly man!” Lilith pecked him on the cheek. “Silent Dragons can’t drown. Don’t tell me you forgot about the time Corrin hid from Azura at the bottom of a pond.”
