These Hawaiian BBQ Pork Wonton Tacos are a delightful fusion of flavors, combining tender BBQ pulled pork with a sweet and tangy pineapple slaw. Crispy wonton cups provide the perfect vessel for this tasty treat. They're great for parties or as a unique dinner option!
Ingredients: 1 pound boneless pork roast. 1/2 cup BBQ sauce. 1/4 cup pineapple juice. 1 tablespoon soy sauce. 1 teaspoon minced garlic. 1 teaspoon minced ginger. 1 cup coleslaw mix. 1/4 cup diced pineapple. 1/4 cup diced red bell pepper. 1/4 cup diced red onion. 1/4 cup chopped cilantro. 24 wonton wrappers. Cooking spray. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Put the roast pork in a slow cooker. Put BBQ sauce, pineapple juice, soy sauce, minced garlic, and minced ginger in a bowl and mix them together. Spread the mix on top of the pork roast. Slow-cook the pork for 6 to 8 hours, or until it's soft and easy to shred with a fork. Do not brown the pork. Instead, use two forks to shred it and mix it with the sauce in the slow cooker. Cut up the pineapple, red bell pepper, red onion, and cilantro and put them in a separate bowl. Add the coleslaw mix. To make the slaw, toss it well. Start by heating the oven to 350F 175C. Spray a little cooking spray on each wonton wrapper and put them in a muffin tin. Bake for 5 to 7 minutes, or until they are golden and crispy. Put some BBQ pulled pork in each wonton cup and then put some pineapple slaw on top of each one. Add pepper and salt to taste. Feel free to eat your Hawaiian BBQ Pork Wonton Tacos right away.
