its also important to point out for taeyeon, sm didn't give her security and caused her to be assaulted AFTER she resigned (it was clear she and yoona were the first ones who resigned). a lot of people are using that as a reason she wouldn't have resigned but don't realize it happened after she resigned and was used as a manipulation technique

It was manipulation definitely. I feel like at a point they were all fighting for the possibility to still exist together as SNSD and SM wanted to do even  more to punish them for not doing what THEY wanted but they cant really do anything to members who arent under their company anymore so Taeyeon was easy to mess with. Like it showed that they could just completely neglect them if they wanted to to the point of putting her in danger
