i feel like i need to read the chapter 3 more times for it to actualize in my brain
elliott and harry really bounced off each other in the worst possible way here - elliott thought it was risky, but their own hangups about needing to be taken seriously made them take her word on a lot less evidence than they normally would have
and harry, used to being infantilized, was met not with the comfort of a parent but the encouragement of an equal ally, which made her a lot more overconfident in her abilities than she normally would have been, now feeling like she's in control of the situation
and there was absolutely no way to know theyd bounce off each other like that before this last not-loop, because theyve never been alone before
