Hello Danny ketch fans
thoughts and close ups under the cut
I made the sword out of cardboard, and ended up doing it in a 6-8 hour session just because I really liked the design of it. That's honestly the only reason I made this cosplay lol
There's PVC in the middle and I covered it with strips from an old work shirt, that's this softer denim. I ended up painting the sword by hand because I didn't have any spray paint at the time. It's HUGE and probably my favorite thing I've made
I ended up sewing the cape by hand using this shiny green fabric I found. I really liked it, and plan to make a corset with it eventually. I'm wanting to redo the body suit, and try doing some more styled stuff with it. I'm thinking about iridescent veins, or something similar. The clasp is just made from cardboard and spray painted silver, I drew the details on with black paint
I used the dragon armor from kamuicosplay on etsy. It's made from eva foam and held together with hot glue, but has held pretty good for how much motion it gets. It's also spray painted which is why it's a bit splotchy.
The helmet was . a fun experience. Its not something I want to do again, but I probably need to. It's too big and lopsided, but still something to be proud of! I used cardboard for the base, but the face cover is one of those reflective Halloween masks I got for like 5 bucks. I made the horns out of air dry clay and just kinda super glued them on. It was painted with the same spray paint I used on most of this and brushed with a black wash. I used a modified red hood helmet template for it
Overall, the process was a LOT of trial and error and I had a lot of fun learning with it. I'm probably going to wear it to comic con, after redoing the body. I have a harness for the sword that I'm not wearing, but it hooks it to my back so I don't have to carry the thing the whole time . It's probably the second cosplay I've ever had to build in almost full
