Had pink chai yesterday from this place called Cafe Rumi in Castro Valley. Been meaning to try this place for ages and finally went, with @husna.mohammadi - who gave me the backstory to that particular drink at that specific cafe. I’ve had a rough few days and this drink, along with the company and conversation, was exactly what I needed, Alhamdulilah. #PinkChai

Kashmiri Noon chai is made from special tea leaves, milk, salt, pistachios, almonds.Cinnamon is sometimes also added for flavor. A pinch of baking soda is added to help give it more of a pronounced pink colour.
