Let me be a little sappy.... hexa, @hexahedrah (blue og fissionton) and i (red altoonate fissionton) spent about a month and a half (four ten hour shifts weekly (usually)) on this project and we're SO happy with the results and even happier with the reception !!! We both have cosplayed previously but this was kind of a crazy jump having never made fursuit heads or attempted patterning, applique, or made a garment ever.
The only things not made by us were the shirts shorts and tie (we wanted to make the latter two but didnt have the time). The front of the head is a tpu base that hexa had to model cuz the rewritten heads were a little weird. A ton of foam was glued into them and patterning my cat head mightve been the worst thing of all time. I've learned that glue can burn flesh and needles can pierce skin and to detest stretchy minky fabric also that thing is EVIL.
The final stretch left us with an hour and a half of sleep so the entirety of the second day was kind of the craziest dream of all time like what even goes on in Orlando man. I promise we were smiling big and wide behind those unblinking eyes (MY FAVORITE PART BTW. THEY CAME OUT SO GOOD) thank u everyone at toonfest for being kind like holy moly everyone was just nice. Also thanks AGAIN to hexa for going to florida and dressign up as a blue doggy with me👍. Let's go toonfest san jose 2026 cmon cmon
