🌸 Why did he have to make this so difficult? The amount of times she’d heard rumors about the way this particular menace had harassed another girl in the past, but she’d resigned herself to prompting violence only when she had the proof in front of her eyes. Not that she particularly liked holding that rule over herself, but she had to have some excuse for not breaking the spine of the majority of the males here. 

‘Calm down’ She should probably be telling herself - but she couldn’t let this case go. Not when it reminded her too much of the male menaces she’d dealt with in her vigilante days. 

Of course, this would all be easier if he acted as awfully as she had heard him to be in those rumors; but there wasn’t a shred of evidence for her to work on, even when she’d been watching his every move for the past few days. 

She could only grind her teeth in frustration as she watched him tinkering with...whatever piece of foreign technology he was working on. Retracting her hand from the corner of the wall, she let out a sigh that was probably no where near as inaudible as she wanted it to be.

komaeda  has  something  of  a  reputation  for  being  an  obstacle  —  he  behaves  like  he’s  insane,  &  that  isn’t  far  from  the  truth;  however,  as  much  as  he  may  insist  that  he’s  useless,  his  pushover  tendencies  make  him  the  ideal  work  partner  ...  he’ll  basically  do  the  entire  thing  by  himself  if  you  ask  him  to,  &  since  this  is  common  knowledge  amongst  students,  it’s  become  something  he  expects.  that’s  why,  once  everyone’s  been  paired  up,  he  eyes  kazuichi  &  lets  out  a  long  breath.  ❝  i  can  get  this  project  done  over  the  weekend,  if  that’s  alright  with  you  ...  but  if  you  want  to  see  it  before  monday,  i  guess  i  can  pull  an  all  nighter  &  meet  you  on  sunday,  instead?  ❞

         “I thought you had invited me to help you, Souda-kun.” Sweatdrop present, his words were probably harsher than he intended them to be. Though, based on the other’s hands hiding in his pockets, not a complete lie. Letting his eyes glance over the various sizes and shapes of the pumpkins, the raven had to deduce something first. “Would you prefer a smaller or a bigger pumpkin, Souda-kun? We’d surely be done sooner with a small one, but a big one would probably look better. What do you think?”

Ouma stared at the other in front of him, and instantly he decided this was a good time to mess around. It was never not a good time to mess around in his books really.

{❧} ---- “Who are you? Are you gonna kill me or something?”

Wait. A. Second.

This wasn’t the school. He wasn’t dead. His memories were not making sense with the current events. He was crushed to death in an attempt to mess with the killing game and bring it to a halt. Yet he was here. 

{❧} ---- “Unless... Am I dead? Where am I?”

Now he was just confused. Did he lie so much that he messed with himself? What was right and what was wrong?

she’d been watching him from a distance for some time now. she was almost certain he hadn’t noticed her presence yet, because he was focused on the crane game in front of him. his technique was sloppy, and the way he was going, he had no hope of winning the prize within the machine. still, chiaki kept her blank stare on him as she finished off the bread she’d ordered from the bakery a couple blocks down.

“alright, that’s enough,” she muttered to herself as she swallowed the last piece. wiping her hands off on her skirt and crumpling up the paper so she could throw it in the trash, she finally approached her classmate.

“souda-kun, do you need help?”

   Kaguya, absolutely beaming, nods her head a few times for reassurance.

   “For sure, for sure! They’re all pointy, I wish my teeth were pointy! They’re really unique and I like them, Sharkteeth-kun!”

   Yeah that wasn’t a weird thing to say at all. Then again...this was Kaguya.
