Lupin died not knowing that Tonks died too🥺
There are very few things about the Harry Potter films that I like better than in the books, but I do love the fact that in the films Remus and Tonks died together. I love the deleted (!🤦🏼♀️) scene where she finds him in the battle and then the scene where they try to hold hands before dying. 🥹🩷
In the books, she runs to the battle, looking for him, and when she asks for him, she's told that the last time he was seen he was fighting Dolohov (who we know was the one who killed him). So, we can deduce that he was already dead.
When Lupin's spirit appears to Harry in the film, he says his son will know why his mother and father died for. In the book, he says his son will know why HE died. Not them. That means that Remus didn't even know that Tonks had died too. 😭
