Full stop it’s been so long since I’ve looked at the canon material, I thought the “Teddy had blue hair as a baby” thing was fandom. I thought it came from outside material or the epilogue. Babies can’t even see color, and I was just about to give JKR the benefit of the doubt, but apparently this has been known since the 70s.

Like not to cinemasins this or anything, I think the fan art of baby Teddy is adorable. If anything, I understand the narrative purpose of showing him changing his hair different colors and I feel stupid for writing in my fic that it took him 6 months to figure out color, but damn.

There's something so special and sad about the idea of Teddy Lupin, who never met his parents, and so spends his life morphing to look more like the people he loves.

He takes Harry's messy hair, Hermione's warm eyes, Ron's nose. Maybe he gives himself Molly's dimples and Andromeda's smile, George's cheekbones and Arthur's shoulders.

He cobbles together all of these features and people until he is the shape of those who love him.

MY TEDDY LUPIN HEADCANONS

his birthday is on April 13th, 1998

hufflepuff in a slytherin kind of way

even though harry was very present in his life, andromeda was the one that primarily raised him

his natural appearance is shockingly similar to sirius, as the black genes tend to be more dominant (i also headcanon that tonks looked a lot like her mom, therefore she looked a lot like bellatrix)

his natural hair color is black (like tonks, andromeda and sirius), but his natural eye color is blue (like remus's mother, hope)

because he was raised by andromeda, he can certainly act like a "black" (perfect posture, can be very diplomatic, well spoken, demand some sort of respect), but he is naturally more carefree

his posture is always perfect, though

excellent when it comes to charms

he is very talented when it comes to non-verbal & wandless magic. he learned how to do non-verbal spells in his 4th year, and in the summer before his 7th year, he began practicing wandless magic for mundane things (like bringing a something from the kitchen into the living room)

his hair isn't always blue; he actually tends to keep it blonde for the most part cause it gives him a more approachable look

when he does wear it blue, though, it's more so blue streaks in his natural black hair that makes his hair look really cool

his least favorite subject while at hogwarts was astronomy, because he found it boring and "not magical enough to be part of a curriculum"

freakishly good memory. the way he remembers stuff scares people.

can and will hold a grudge against anybody that upsets him

very popular at hogwarts, mainly because he was good-looking and had a cool vibe about him

he never was a prankster but definitely a rule breaker

he is very sarcastic and is naturally funny without trying to

spent every christmas of his life at the burrow with the weasley's and the potter's along with andromeda (except once in 6th year)

most people think of him as a person who is always nice to others no matter what, but very few know he can have a mean streak from time to time

he has contradictory feelings towards the full moon. it doesn't affect him besides an occasional runny nose from time to time (and still he's not sure if that's because of the full moon), and he loves looking at it, but he also feels uncomfortable watching it sometimes because it reminds him that his father was never able to enjoy how beautiful it is

he was shocked when he became head-boy, mainly because he thought his cheeky attitude and sarcastic comments to his teachers would guarantee that he wouldn't be chosen as head-boy

became an actor and played big roles in muggle movies & shows. the muggle stylists could never understand how he came to set with his hair already perfectly dyed and colour eye contacts in

he makes voldemort impressions that are both scarily accurate and funny

has sneaked into hogsmeade more times than the marauders and fred & george COMBINED

he will change his appearance to look like somebody else if it will help him to get out of trouble or sneak around

Do you ever think about how Harry is the one who sends Remus back to his wife and unborn child ?

Harry was harsh on his words but was completely right calling Remus out , i understand Remus issues, insecurities, trauma etc but he made a mistake on running away from his responsibilities as a parent and Harry being the one calling him out was a blessing because Remus was going to regret until the rest of his days for running away from his responsibilities as a parent and husband , that's also one of the reasons why Harry was chosen as Teddy's godfather because Remus knew that Harry was the one that opened his eyes.
