On my old computer I was working on a video for August with the song fiction.

Owch. Make sure it's not so bad you need clinic or ER. I any case cold water- flexible cold pack or even just a damp washcloth that's been in the freezer long enough t cool but not get hard might ease pain and swelling. (hugs) Feel better. :)

December 2013 threads

Working for Redemption. (Literally)

Arguably August/Pinocchio is spending most of this month working for his father off-screen. They have many carpentry projects as people resettle in new homes with old families and some of them find old treasures that need repairs and an industry standard but old world look crib is crafted for Rumpelstiltskin and Belle.

Actual Story threads

3rd in the working for redemption arc began but fizzled out. One player was on a long hiatus and two have left. Thread intended to show August talking with Emma and Neal about past- and Charming and Snow were invited to Geppettos to receive his admission that the wardrobe could have taken 2 and apology...

On hold or might as well be declared as having happened offscreen. We already know from the show the Royal couple don't stay mad at Geppetto but I leave it up to Admin and Snow's player if still with us..

Up A Tree was from a meme. I do not know if it is canon or not. However since we did nothing that could not be accomplished by the actual characters and both Grace and August were unharmed- I'm cool with it being canon if Grace's player wishes it to be. AU is alright too.

Grace found herself up in a tree- Pinocchio climbed up after to keep her company and figure out safe conduct for both back down. Called the Volunteer firemen to come to the rescue instead of trying some crazy stunt.

Magic Victims Anon

Mina Harker opened a support group August attended and many other Storybrooke Citizens attended. Aurora was there- the pair caused a... disturbance. (to put it mildly) Apologies to Mina and the rest.

Since the therapy died down/went quiet- August opted to allow himself to be used for target practice and a sort of 'physical' therapy. Aurora watches as NPC Phillip and PC Emma are working out frustrations in the parking lot versus the wooden man in a Snowball challenge.

Was never sure if this thread was AU or canon while it was being written. Evidence suggests now that is it indeed canon.

Operation Cobra Secondary Objectives takes place for Op Cobra members to meet up again. Compare notes and knowledge of the aftermath of the curse breaking. It takes place after both Emma and Jefferson have learned of Dracula's presence (if not actual identity) in town. August is still in the dark but knowing that the character of Mina Harker is a real person and in Storybrooke -he wont take much convincing should they choose to bring it up in conversation...

Not So Magical Hospital Visit

It was all too much.

Henry sick, Henry dying, magic being real, Regina being the Evil Queen and Jefferson in the state that they'd found him - it was all more than Emma knew how to handle. 

And there was one man who'd claimed to have all the answers, who'd claimed to be there for Emma. The one man who might have a solution where Gold had left them with nothing.

She got in her little yellow Bug and drove to Granny's B & B, where she knew August was staying. She knocked on his door.

A Plea Under the Sea

Who: Ariel, Pinocchio. NPC's as needed. Volunteers? NPCing Jiminy unless someone wants to do it. Could use a Blue Fairy NPC.

Where: Under the sea. FTL.

When: When Pinocchio was still a wooden boy. After Monstero swallows the raft. Inclusive of rescuing Papa from Monstero with help from a new undersea friend. Yes... call this the directors extended edition of the beach wash up scene.

"Pinoc! Pinoc where are you?!" Jiminy Cricket hovered and zipped over the frothing top of the waves. The monstrous whale had just swallowed Gepetto's raft whole. Pinocchio had only just leaped overboard so his father couldn't protest the boy giving him the only life preserver.

It had all gone wrong, so horribly wrong!

"Here! Here I am Jiminy!" The puppet bobbed up from what depths he could reach to report. "Cough... I can't... I can't stay down long enough!" Pinocchio paddled back to the rock. The tiny jagged island that thrust up from the deeps like a finger pointing upward.

"What's down there son?" Was the Cricket's kindly query.

"Many fish and creatures call the coral beneath us home Jiminy, but not one I asked knew where Monstero could be found. I went so low this time, there wasn't any light except what the fish themselves made. Some of them were pretty... Some very scary! I asked all them too. No one knew Monstero at all. Maybe he doesn't go that low... and it hurt to try to keep the air in. I had to let the rock go at last. Up I shot just like before." He lay back on the cold stone miniature beach with his eyes up to the grey sky. "I feel all washed up..."

"You look a little washed out. That was an hour that last dive. You had me worried!" Jiminy's words were stern but all of them true. The increasingly long dives with a tied on rock to counter his natural buoyancy was doing more then worrying the Cricket Conscience. Pinochio's dark hair was now faded, almost reddish brown and the paint coloring his eyes were no longer both blue. The wear and tear of the salt water did not diminish his site it seemed nor his resolve.

To what end resolve though if Geppetto were gone? Was this a hard life lesson the puppet child was learning and Jiminy his guide. An unwilling guide for such a lesson as hard as that. A lesson that was already drawing tears.

"Here now, no tears Pinoc." Jiminy landed on the boy's chest to talk eye to eye. Pin had to lift his head. "Keep your hope alive and Geppetto will feel it, know it, and it will keep his hope alive."

"If you were me... your nose might grow." Pinocchio's remark was fallowed by a lament.

"There's no hope is there Jiminy? We wont find Papa and nobody's going to find us..." The boy puppet put his head down and wished he could see the stars.

Where else were they going to get help from?

...Probably August. We've really bonded a lot together. He's the Mulder to my Scully.

And I've never really had one of those before.
