What documents are required to register for a Pinoy First account?
Pinoy First Money Remittance follows the anti-money laundering and counter terrorism financing guidelines and regulations posed by Australian Transaction Reports and Analytics Centre (AUSTRAC).
We are required to verify your identity to activate your account. To do so, you will need to submit or upload (whichever easier) a copy of your ID as well as an evidence of address.
With the information you have provided upon registration, we will use these to verify you electronically and other means necessary to satisfy our Know-Your-Customer obligations. Once our team successfully identified and verified your ID, your account will be activated immediately. You will also receive an email notification and you will be able to send money up to AUD 500 per day.
When you choose to provide your evidence of address, you will be able to send money up to AUD 5,000 per day.
If you did not receive an email regarding above, it is wise to check your spam folder to make sure that your email server has not marked our communications as spam.
To complete verification of your ID, you'll need to submit a quality photo or scan of a valid ID document from the following list:
Australian Driving License;
Foreign Passport with a Valid Visa
Your photo ID must be in colour and must show:
Your name and date of birth as provided on our registration form
The expiry date of your document (must be within expiry date shown)
The entire machine readable zone - i.e. the two lines of letters and numbers.at the bottom of your passport
Nothing on the document is withheld or covered
All text is clear and legible
The image is not too blurry or dark
If your photo or scan is not of enough quality, we will contact you to request a better copy.
Verifying your Residential Address
You'll need to submit a full page, quality photo or scan of a valid address document which shows:
Your name and full address as provided on our registration form
An issue date within the last three months
Company logo, or clear name of the sender - e.g. your service provider, financial institution, local council, local transport authority
Important information to note:
Your evidence of address must not be a document you have previously submitted e.g. a driving licence used for a Photo ID.
In addition, your evidence of address cannot be from the same source e.g. a bank account and credit account statement from the same institution.
Acceptable Evidences of Address are copies of any of the following in order of preference:
Bank Statement (recent within 3 months);
Driving License (where it contains full residential address) *if you submitted your passport as Photo ID;
Utility Bill Statement such as - cable television, electricity, gas, water, telephone bill (landline or mobile);
Vehicle Registration Renewal Notice
Nothing on the document is withheld or covered
All text is clear and legible
The image is not too blurry or dark
If your photo or scan is not of enough quality, we will email you to request a better copy.
