Now that I have time and inspiration to paint again, I tried painting some of my fave Pinoy snacks!
Are Filipino Foods Rich in Prebiotics the Secret to Better Gut Health?
Most of us think we need imported chia seeds or fancy powders to stay healthy š±. But did you know many Filipino foods rich in prebiotics are already on our tables? From saba bananas to sweet potatoes, ube, and even singkamas, these humble staples secretly boost digestion and immunity.

The truth is, the best prebiotic sources in the Philippines donāt have to be expensive. Native fruits like jackfruit and dragon fruit are full of fibers your gut loves. Even everyday dishes seasoned with mushrooms or herbs can do wonders. šš
So maybe the secret to better energy, mood, and digestion isnāt far at allāitās already in our kitchens. All we need is to look at our food differently, and give our gut the love it deserves ā¤ļø.

#tastyTuesday another snack feature from the lady vendor who sells us lunch and snacks.. She called it palitaw, but I'm more familiar with the flat palitaw. This is more like bilo-bilo. It's tasty though, so I guess it doesn't matter what it's called.
Till next feature.. Ta-tah! š“
#tastyTuesday afternoon snacks from the neighborhood meal seller. On the left is known as ube ginatan. A clear colored one is another variety. It's a tasty snack that I really like. It can be eaten cold or warm. šš
The other one is ube turon. I would like it better if it had bananas as stuffing too. Ube as stuffing for turon is not as tasty. Overall it's okay.
Once in a while, I treat myself to these snacks as a form of treat for myself. š¤š¤ Till next feature... Ta-tah!
